Bus Driver Openings

  • Must have a valid CDL
  • Part-time and Full-time positions are available
  • $500 starting bonus paid over 3 paychecks
  • Hourly rate starting at $17/hour

KEY ROLES

Drivers provide courteous, friendly, and reliable transportation to our students on a regular basis

TASKS

Prior to operating vehicle, you must inspect exterior and interior of vehicle at the beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior courtesy lamps, air‑conditioning or heating, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, vehicle damage, etc. Responsible for ensuring inside and outside of vehicle are properly cleaned and that the vehicle is fueled.

Elementary Teacher Opening

Kickapoo Nation School is located in Powhatten, Kansas. The school services students KG-12 throughout Northeast KS and is the only tribally run school in Kansas.

Kickapoo Nation School is accepting applications for Elementary Teacher (grades 5/6) for the current school year 2022-2023. Interested candidates are asked to send an up-to-date resume and a copy of their current teaching license.

Qualified candidates must currently hold a valid Kansas teaching license, or be reasonably assured of securing a Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement

Indian Preference Policy: Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with Indian Preference Act of 1934 (Title 25, USC, Section 472) and Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). Verification must be submitted with the application if claiming Indian Preference. Consideration will be given to non-Indian applicants in the absence of qualified Indian Preference eligible.
